Click a character to insert it at your cursor. Select text first to replace it. Switching languages keeps your text.

How to use this Portuguese keyboard

Write or paste text in the editor. Click a character to insert it at your cursor, or select text first to replace it. Copy text copies the whole editor. Clear removes it; Undo can restore the last change.

Example to try

Olá! Amanhã vou a São Paulo.

Type ã and õ

Use ã for words such as amanhã and õ for words such as ações. Each key inserts the full letter with its mark. Uppercase mode gives you à and Õ.

Choose the vowel you need

The keyboard offers á, à, â, é, ê, í, ó, ô, and ú, alongside ã and õ. Match the written word you need; the tool does not add or correct accents automatically.

Add ç and keep writing

Use ç for words such as coração and açúcar. Select an existing character first to replace it, or place the cursor between letters to insert a new one. The ü key is also available for names, older texts, and other writing needs.

Other ways to enter these characters

On a Mac

In supported Mac apps, hold a letter key and choose its accented form. Availability varies by app.

In Microsoft Word for Windows

In Word for Windows, press Ctrl + Shift + ~, release, then a for ã. For ç, press Ctrl + comma, release, then c.

Before you leave

The editor does not translate, proofread, or save your writing between visits. Copy text you want to keep before refreshing. If copying is blocked, select the text and use your device’s Copy command.
